I get to go to the previously mentioned Ruban Rouge (my not-so-local scrapbook store) tomorrow morning to take a class by Sarah Milne! I had been wanting to go but really didn't think I could. But I called at 5pm today to ask if they had extra class kits and they did...same cost as the class. I caught Tom while he was talking golf on the phone and asked if I could just go take the class (in other words - can you please be responsible for being the sole parental unit in the house for several hours) and he nodded. I don't think he actually heard what I asked but I took it and ran with it. LOL! I met Sarah about a year ago in Orlando at CKU and have her John Hancock in a journal I made there...but this will be so much more fun. I will share the layouts we do in class once I get them scanned. I chose the Capetown layout class - love those colors. One of the things I have to take is a photo of myself. I only have one photo of myself that doesn't make me cringe - so you will be subjected once again to the SAME 'OL PICTURE! sorry! I am just not photogenic. Once I get a good picture I hold onto it and guard it with my life.
Here's a teaser. We are doing 4 layouts in the class. Here are the prompts:
layout #1: What I've learned
layout #2: Why I love...
layout #3: Embrace Change (which are the same words on one of their new chipboard sayings)
layout #4: Lucky to be...
I have finished my list for the first layout. Now I have to come up with 5 photos for each of the other layouts as well as the concept for what I want to 'say' with my layouts.
Time to start a pot of coffee.
Until tomorrow...
:)
