well hello little fella

Isn't he so cute? This little snapping turtle was headed for the pond across the street from our house. He was not afraid of me at all. I laid in the grass to take some pictures and he came within a couple inches of me and just sat and looked around. Probably trying to figure out how the heck he was gonna get to the bushes with me in the way. There was an island of flowering shrubs and palm trees between me and the pond and that was the route he was intent on going.
