Do you remember your first day of Kindergarten? I sure don't. But somewhere I remember seeing a picture of me on my first day of school. Well, today is Lindsay's first day of Kindergarten and I wanted to take lots of pictures. We went to the school yesterday so Lindsay could meet her teacher, see where she would be sitting and look around the classroom.
She was so excited this morning - although very tired. I think she was so excited last night that she didn't sleep well. But she got her uniform on and brushed her hair and teeth and just looked so cute. Jessica didn't want to miss out so she walked to the bus stop and waited with us. Jessica wanted to get on the bus so bad - and wasn't too happy with me when I told her that she couldn't. I had to take in Lindsay's nap mat so after putting her on the bus we had to leave for the school too. When I walked in Lindsay was at her seat with her name on her paper and when she saw me she just beamed from ear to ear. She is so happy to be in Kindergarten. I am just so proud. and sad...really just a jumble of emotion today. I haven't cried though. I think having her in Pre-K 5 days a week at the beginning of the year kindof prepared me for her going to Kindergarten. All this time I thought it was just to prepare her! Anyway - welcome to my new routine for the next 14 years (counting Jessica's school years).
