aaahhh, another beautiful day here. Sun is shining - and after it rained and poured yesterday afternoon things just look so rich in color today. I love how things look after a good soak! Tom, the girls, his mom, dad, brother and sister all went to the beach this morning. I was looking forward to some 'me' time and really just sit in a nice, quiet house. I know I live in Florida - but I am just not a beach person. So here I am. Although Cooper (my brother in law's chocolate lab) is out on the lanai howling. He has serious issues with separation anxiety. So much for the quiet. The Braves have an afternoon game today. I am NOT happy with the Braves management for trading Wilson Betemit but I'll watch anyway...just might be a little grumpy.
I am preparing some marinated flank steak, bbq ribs and (if I can get myself to the store) some homemade ice cream. YUM! Tom doesn't typically care for vanilla ice cream unless it's drowning in chocolate syrup - but he loves my homemade vanilla.
I may even decide to get in the pool and float around for a bit while everyone is gone. Look at this water...doesn't it look inviting?
