I am distraught!
Somebody help me please! My iPod is suddenly corrupt! ??? Right in the middle of a song it just stopped. I can't turn it off and it won't change songs or play or anything. I left it alone for awhile and it eventually started playing again. Well, I hooked it up to iTunes and it told me it was corrupt and to restore. So I tried restoring and it says it can't. I downloaded the new version of iTunes and restarted the computer - and now (after about a dozen attempts) I get into iTunes but my device is not listed - so I can't even TRY to restore now. ??? I'm sad! I love my music - I need my music!

Yikes! That stinks! I just bought my first iPod yesterday. Do you have the service plan?

This happened to my friend's iPod. Hers wouldn't shut off at all or do anything. She just let it run out its battery and then charged it again and everything was fine. Also try reading the help forums on the apple website. If all else fails try taking it to a Mac store and see if they can fix it. Sometimes if my computer won't recognize my iPod I'll trying restarting the computer. I hope some of this will help!
