Good morning! I finished my album for the first pit stop of the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race. I love mini albums - but have always had a hard time photographing them so you get the same effect as looking at them in person. Tom even mentioned that you just don't get the same effect looking at them online as when he's holding it in his hands. Oh well - generally speaking - I think that's the case for most any mini album. You can't be interactive with them just looking at a photo. At any rate, I do love mine - and will be saving it for my girls. It is kind of a letter (of sorts) to them about living life - letting their beautiful personalities and warm hearts guide them. Jess has a tendency to hang her head and pout if she can't do something as well as her sister, so my notes to her are more about believing in herself, keep trying, and never give up. Both of the girls love getting comments about how pretty they are (who doesn't?) but I don't want them to grow up thinking that's who they are - just 2 pretty little girls. They are SO much more than that (hey, I'm their mother! heehee). Seriously though, Lindsay LOVES people and animals and is such a great kid. She is a lot of fun - and loves to make other people laugh. So that is what my journaling is about for her...she's not just a pretty face...she is an amazing person with a whole lot more to offer.
Anyhoo - Not sure if we're allowed to post our projects or not, so here is a link to the thread at Scrapbook.com where all the finalists are posting their entries: http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/1423963/tp/1/ I think the first entry starts around page 3 (??)...there are links provided in the posts. My links are on page 4 - although you can also see them if you just go to my homepage at Scrapbook.com: http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?u=79202 and you'll see at the top right - pics from my gallery.
The deadline is today at noon (I'm guessing MT zone?) so if you want to see them all, check back around that time. I will be anxiously awaiting our next clue and will then be off and creating again! I'll take this opportunity to say thank you to my family for eating leftovers and frozen food the last 2 days (bwahahahahaha!!!). I promise I'll make you a hot meal tonight...but tomorrow you may be eating cereal or popcorn for dinner! Seriously though - thank you to my hubby for understanding (sorta) this whole world of scrapbooking and what it means to me. I wouldn't be able to create these things if I didn't have the best, most supportive hubby in the world! MWAH!!

Cami -- I think it's so wonderful that you wrote "letters" to the girls. They will treasure that for a long time to come and you are a great mom for doing it! Good luck -- you did do a FANTASTIC job!
Awesome album Cami!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! :D
amazing job cami! that is beautiful!
on a side note and most importantly to me i wanted to say that i appreciate you wanting to let your children know that they are just more then "pretty girls". we get it constantly with our younger one, and i want people to realize that she is going to be sooooo much more then just a pretty girl. thank you for supporting my theory of being a great mom!
