Sweeeeeeeet!

I gotta tell you - my hubby is just the best. I went to a baby shower today and when I came home I sat down and watched Karate Kid II with him. I think he purposefully put on a bad movie so I'd get up and go scrapbook. You'll know what I mean in a minute. So after awhile he asks...don't you have any scrapbook projects you want to go work on? And because I was actually feeling a little tired, I was really just enjoying sitting there...not moving a muscle. The girls were both in their play room and being quiet so it was heavenly just to be able to actually hear the movie. The fact that it is, well, not the best movie ever made is beside the point. I could hear the movie. Wow - I kinda like that concept.

So anyway - I told him that I was feeling tired and was enjoying being a slug for a few minutes. He never mentioned anything else. Before the movie was over, we both got up and were doing other things - and eventually I got back to the scrap room and I got on my computer. I had lots of emails to reply to and was doing my usual perusing of scrapbook sites etc. I finally caught up on things and went to sit at my other desk to scrapbook. When I pulled the chair out, there was a black box with a note that said, "Just because I love you! xxxooo" - and guess what it was?




I ran outside (with my mouth gaping open in disbelief) to tell my hubby thank you and give him a big hug and kiss. He then tells me, "well, it's about time!" lol...he had been waiting for me to find it. He was thinking that I saw it but didn't come out to thank him. C'mon honey, you know me better than that! I am so grateful - I have wanted an iPod for a loooong time. :) It's funny though, because when he proposed to me way back when, he put the ring in the bottom of a wine glass. I had had such a long day at work that I just kept talking about my day instead of enjoying my wine - and he was frustrated that his proposal wasn't happening the way he'd planned. lol...so here I go again...
