latest layouts

funny, I don't feel like I've done a whole lot in the last week, but I haven't gotten in a whole lot of scrapbooking either. Part of it was that I spent most of 2 days looking at new home layouts and homes for sale online. Then Tom and I decided that it would be in our best interest to wait another year to buy because of the crazy housing market combined with the insane homeowners insurance issues here in Florida. Just not a good time to buy. Granted - it's a buyers market with excessive properties on the market right now...but that's just because sellers still think they can get prices from 2005. Yeah, right. I don't think so people. Once they all realize that their houses are not actually worth double and sometimes triple prices and their little bubbles burst - we will start looking to buy again. So I guess now I can return to my studio to scrapbook instead of doing the whole home search thing.

It has been very cold here. We had temperatures in the low 30's last night (b-b-b-brrrrrr!) and considering we were wearing shorts last week...I just wasn't ready for that cold front to hit. I am now hoping it will warm up soon.

Last Friday I went to a crop that one of my Scrapyard friends hosted at her community clubhouse. Nothing unordinary about it except that we locked ourselves out of the building! We were all done packing up our stuff and had all agreed to make several trips to our cars so we wouldn't break our backs carrying everything at once. Little did we know that after 10pm, the doors automatically lock when they close. We went around back and the gate to the pool area was open - so we go in and THAT door slams behind us. We are now locked INSIDE the pool area but OUTSIDE of the building. Great. We all just stood there with our faces against the windows - staring at all our 'stuff' inside. We were all laughing and had tried to open windows etc. before midnight when the alarm would sound - but nothing worked. We ended up getting out of there with the help of a few pool chairs. (*giggle*) Good thing we each have a pretty good sense of humor. One of the gals stayed at Cheryl's house that night and got up and went to the clubhouse at 5am to pick up our stuff. Yea! I got the remainder of my scrapping supplies back yesterday and all is well with the world again. LOL

Here are a few of the layouts I've done this last week.

A crop AND a story to tell -- how fun is that?? As always I love your layouts -- love the word "fashionating" -- LOL! And your layout about Lindsay brought tears to my eyes -- the journaling is so wonderful!
