Thank you Queen & Co.

Just wanted to say thank you to Queen & Co. and their designers for choosing my layout as one of the winners of their Beadiful layout contest on their blog. I was happy to participate in this contest just because I had this adorable lip gloss container full of pretty beads and hadn't used them yet and needed the challenge to get me thinking of how I could use them. Truth be told....I totally dig the packaging Queen & Co. uses. SO CUTE!!! And you can alter the packaging once you've used the product. The challenge for me was to use the beads in a way that didn't look like I just put them on there because I had to use them. Because doodling is so "in" right now I chose to string the beads on some thin gauge wire and then shape the wire into swirls to act as the doodling. With the other elements I have on my layout - I liked how it turned out because the beaded swirls drew the eye to the photo but because of the flow of the swirls it helps the eye around the lo. I know they are packing up for Memory Trends, but Nic Howard tells me that they will be sending me some goodies in the mail. woo-hoo! You can't go wrong with getting any of their stuff!
