Monday mornings. The beginning of a new and hopefully great week. I am really noticing the late sunrise these days. Walking Lindsay to the bus stop, I no longer notice the sunshine sparkling off the dew that always covers the hibiscus in the mornings. The mornings are now foggy and misty. I kind of like it though...even though it comes with a slight chill in the air. This is our sign of fall. We don't get the beautiful colors of the changing leaves. We get misty mornings. The rest of the day is still in the 90's for now.
Lindsay did not have a very good progress report in her folder from school last Friday so she was not allowed to go swimming over the weekend. I had already promised the girls earlier in the week that I would see about taking them to the movies. So Saturday morning - as Tom was watching the Ryder Cup - I loaded the girls in the car and we went to see Barnyard. It was very cute. Not Disney caliber, but cute nonetheless. A few of the actors that provided the voice overs for the animated barnyard animals include: Sam Elliott, Kevin James (from the TV show King of Queens), Courtney Cox, and Danny Glover. The girls enjoyed it and had a teeny bit of adult humor sprinkled throughout.
This last week I did get in a few hours of scrapbooking. Cropper's Cottage had a cyber crop so I tried really hard to get involved so I could get some layouts and projects done. I love cyber crops - but I usually am not able to participate more than a few challenges or classes. They are very time consuming, but SO much fun. A huge thank you to the Cottage for the cyber crop and specifically - to Christi Snow - for organizing (once again!) a spectacular agenda! Kudos to you girl...you are amazing and so appreciated. All the designers did a smashing job with their classes and challenges too. I am hoping to go back and continue to work on the classes and challenges that I missed. I really am wanting to do Rita's journaling challenges. I see that as one of my weaknesses in my scrapping and need that little push to get me to put things down in writing. I also STILL have on my list to do my layout that was inspired by Suzanna. She did a great then and now layout using her school photos as well as one recent photo. I really want to do that...but honestly I am having a problem finding older pictures of me that I could use. I am determined though. I am going to do that layout! Speaking of recent photos...I know I mentioned I'd post a photo of my new brunette 'do' but I haven't taken one yet. Surely I'll get around to it soon and I promise I'll post it for you.

I wish I could have participated in the cyber crop, but the weekends are so wrapped up in family time, that I never got a chance, and forget during the week! I NEVER get anytime these days during the weekdays now that I am homeschooling Indy. (((Sigh))) One of these days I'll get to scrap again!
